A Campaign to Strengthen Our Community
When you shop, dine, or enjoy recreational activities on base, your dollars do more than Just cover the cost of a product or service- they help sustain and enhance the programs that t support our community. The 99th Force Support Squadron (99FSS) is proud to Introduce the “With a Purpose” campaign, an Initiative designed to raise awareness about how spending on base directly benefits Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) programs.
This year, you’ll begin to notice “With a Purpose” stickers throughout facilities across Nellis Air Force Base, serving as a visual reminder that every purchase contributes to a greater mission- strengthening the support network for Airmen, Guardians, and their familles.
Why It Matters
Many members of our community are unaware of the vital role their spending plays In funding MWR programs. Shopping on base helps sustain fitness centers, recreational trips, arts and crafts workshops, dining options, and much more. However, when dollars are spent elsewhere, these programs lose potential funding, Impacting the services that make Nellis Air Force Base a thriving and connected community.
By choosing to shop and dine on base, you’re actively Investing in programs that Improve quality of life for all service members and their families. Every meal, purchase, or experience made on base has a ripple effect-enhancing the programs that support readiness, resilience, and overall well-being. These programs Include exciting community events such as Eggstravaganza, Spring Carnival, Luau Party, Oktoberfest, Frostfest and Airborne Action.
How to Recognize with a Purpose
Starting this year, facilities across the base will feature “With a Purpose” stickers to help Airmen and their familles Identify participating locations. Whether you’re grabbing lunch at a food court, picking up supplies from the Arts & Crafts Center, or booking an outdoor adventure trip, keep an eye out for the logo.
We’ve also tailored the campaign to specific facilities, with unique messaging that makes it easier to connect.

Making purchases at on-base stores and retall locations helps fund essential MWR programs and community events.
Train With A Purpose
Using base fitness and recreational facilities like Warrior Fitness Center keeps them well-maintained and available to all.
Dine With A Purpose
Supporting base restaurants and dining facilities helps maintain high-quality food options and services. Locations Include The Club, Champion’s Grille and Robin’s Roost.
Adventure With A Purpose
Adventure With a Purpose – Participating in outdoor recreation and adventure programs through Outdoor Recreation (ODR) ensures continued access to exciting activities.
Craft With A Purpose
Whether you’re painting or personalizing gifts, your participation supports the continuation of hands-on programs that Inspire and connect our community.
Golf With A Purpose
Enjoying the golf course and related programs, Including tournaments and training with Mr. Gaylord at Sunrise Vista Golf Course.
