Details: Zion National Park at just under 3-hours’ drive from Base makes it one of the amazing National Parks to visit during your time at Nellis. With its high plateaus, a maze of narrow, deep, sandstone canyons, and the Virgin River flowing through, the park is a must see. We will be heading to the town of Springdale (the gateway of Zion) where we will unload to provide you the opportunity to explore the Park, the town of Springdale, and everything in between. A shuttle bus will take you into Zion where you will have 4+ hours to explore, ride the bus, take a hike, or sip a coffee in town. After we all work up a sweat, we will drive to a section of the Virgin River (flowing from the high peaks of Zion) where we will take a 2-hour river float in an inflatable tube to cool off.
