Kayak The Black Canyon

June 6 @ 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

Program Title: Kayak the Black Canyon

Time: 0700-1700

Cost: $100 per person

Age: 14+

Details: Welcome to the Black Canyon of the Colorado River. With dark cliffs of volcanic rock soaring above, a rich history of water rights and development and expansion west, and an abundance of flora and fauna and special side canyons to explore, this trip is one of our most popular. We will be putting in at the base of the Hoover Dam and kayaking over 12 miles downriver. This kayak trip requires effort to get down river, and we will be under our own power the whole way. Plan for a full day on water and possible headwinds. Time permitting, we will stop to explore some of the abundant side canyons. Due to the nature of desert weather, winds and heat can affect our ability to run this trip, so we reserve the right to cancel. Please bring plenty of water, snacks, lunch, sunscreen, and sun layers. Trip includes transportation, equipment, and guides. NOTE: Due to the nature of launching at the Hoover Dam, government issued IDs need to be presented for security reasons.
